Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier is out now on PS4.
Set around a year after the events of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the interactive cinematic adventure is centred around a breakaway faction of apes who take refuge in the Rocky Mountains from the ongoing human-ape war. But when winter arrives and food becomes scarce the apes are forced to descend into the valley and human controlled territory.
Last Frontier is a choice based experience, more reminiscent of a film than a traditional game, and much like the Planet of the Apes movies, the narrative is full of moral ambiguity. Players are cast in the roles of both human and ape and, depending on their decisions, dramatically varied endings are possible.
Jassa stars as Mark Ross, a human inhabitant of the town of Millerton and the son of Jess Ross, played by Alex Reid (The Descent), the human character whose decisions are guided by the player.
Directed by veteran games director Steve Kniebihly (The Witcher 3, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls), Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier also stars Neil Newbon (Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV), William Hope (Aliens), legendary primate performer Peter Elliot, Nicholas Aaron (Band of Brothers), Josh Cowdery (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and Jane Leaney (Alice Through the Looking Glass).
Published by the games division of The Imaginarium - the performance capture studio founded by Andy Serkis - Last Frontier was developed at the company’s historic Ealing Studios headquarters.
Xbox and PC release date are to be announced.
