In the spirit of Diwali, celebrating light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair, the event shone a light on the global issue of human trafficking.
Anuradha Koirala was in attendance as Guest of Honour. The Nepalese social activist founded Maiti Nepal in 1993, a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping victims of sex trafficking. Through this charity, Anuradha has single-handedly led the fight against human trafficking in Nepal and was famously awarded the CNN Heroes Award in 2010 by Demi Moore.

Guests arrived to a special Diwali inspired reception and enjoyed a traditional Indian thali dinner service, exclusive performances and live entertainment, including music by vocalist Tanya Wells and guitarist Paulo Vinicius of Seven Eyes.
