Following the success of Both Not Half, Jassa has become sought after as a consultant for heritage projects, exhibitions, and plays. Alongside his own writing projects, Jassa freelances as a developmental editor, partnering with authors to help their manuscripts reach their full potential.

“We worked with Jassa from the early planning stages of the 'Last Princesses of Punjab' exhibition until the end. He helped shape our thoughts, ensuring that community perspectives shaped the narrative of the exhibition. He wrote a terminology guide and conducted training for customer facing staff. Jassa combines historical knowledge and an extraordinary ability to articulate his own lived experience and those of others in ways that are accessible, non judgemental and, that are, above all, helpful. I learned a lot from him.”
