On Sunday evening Jassa returned to his hometown to attend the Leicester Curry Awards 2017, the inaugural celebration of the city's culinary delights.
Chutney Ivy won Restaurant of the Year. The full list of winners is available here.
Jassa said: "It was a stunning celebration of Leicester's diverse heritage. The highlight for me was after Bombay Bites won Best Takeaway...their speech honouring first generation immigrants, their parents and their sacrifices was beautiful."
